In 1998, the Children and Youth Services Council voted to present an annual award in Cindy Chaplin's memory to an individual in the community who has in some way exemplified a commitment to children and children’s services.
Nominees for this award are individuals who have gone above and beyond to accomplish one or more of the following: provide advocacy for community children in need, establish a new an innovative service for children and families, and/or bring about collaboration in the child serving community. Several individuals are nominated each year for the award, but one person always seems to stand out as an exemplary role model for service providers.
